Laborelec focuses on the key aspects of sustainable energy: efficiency and availability of equipment for generating and distributing electricity; electrical system assessment; auditing & coaching on rational use of energy, cutting CO2 emissions; reducing ecological footprint.
Our team of experts are called in by power producers, grid operators, and electricity end-users from around the globe. These end-users range from large industrial groups to tertiary sector SMEs.
Laborelec supplies technical services to optimize the performance of a wide variety of energy-related installations. Those services can range from strategic advice in decision making to high-value operational assistance.
The nature of our collaboration can take many forms, ranging from individual services or an ad-hoc contract, to a framework agreement. Regardless of the type of contract, our fundamental goal is to work in a spirit of partnership with our clients.
Our experts are at the forefront of our industry, advising clients on today’s best practices. They are equally active backstage developing the best practices of tomorrow. To carry out this comprehensive exploratory research, they maintain their own, well-equipped laboratories at various Laborelec centres of excellence. They explore new technologies and develop competency in applying these innovations in everyday practice.
They execute operations-oriented research that anticipates future challenges facing all types of energy installations.
Our experts endorse the spirit of open innovation and participate in numerous international expert groups. They regularly work in partnership with universities and R&D centres worldwide, as well as with other research laboratories of the GDF SUEZ Group.

Laborelec is a member of WP3 entitled “Resin and tape characterization” and will carry out thermal and mechanical characterization of materials in the project.
