The first technical meeting was held on the 11th of February at CEA in Grenoble, France. All of the partners were present. The first six-month’s activity was defined, in particular the material scenarios for work package 2 and the dimensions of the samples for characterisation were defined.
The kick-off meeting was held on the 11th of February at CEA in Grenoble, France.
ANASTASIA started on the 1st January 2010 and will last 3 years. This project is coordinated by CEA-LITEN and has been awarded a grant valued at 3.1 Million Euros.
ANASTASIA aims to replace the current insulator tapes for high power applications. The current tapes are thick, semi-rigid and show poor thermal conductivity and mechanical stability. The goal is to replace this system with a thinner flexible structure, incorporating nanofillers and/or mica flakes. The objective is to increase the field strength from 2.5-3 to 4 kV/mm, to increase the thermal conductivity from 0.3 to 0.5 W/m.°C, and to increase the thermal class from F 155°C to H 180°C.
At the end of project, a demonstrator will be made as well as an impact study on the generator design.
The 6-month Technical Meeting of the ANASTASIA project was held on June 29th 2010 at the University of Southampton (U.K.). During the meeting, all partners presented an update on the progress of their experimental work.
